Ultra is a South African electronic music festival and, due to its partnership with 5FM, the 2026 edition is set to be significant on the national events calendar.

Ultra South Africa takes place on Saturday, 25 April in Johannesburg at the Expo Centre at Nasrec and on Sunday, 26 April in Cape Town at The Ostrich, and the 2026 lineup is expected to be explosive. Supporters can expect John Summit, DJ Snake, Axwell and Afrojack b2b R3hab headlining the Main Stage, with Dennis Ferrer and Shimza leading the RESISTANCE stage, says the station.

Leading up to the events, 5FM will be 'Ampli5ing' Ultra with music, artist interviews, on-air ticket giveaways for promotional social media posts, live broadcasts and exclusive content that gives listeners the Ultra experience.

In Johannesburg, supporters can also step into The Groove Room, a celebration of African electronic culture featuring Scorpion Kings, DBN Gogo, Liquideep, Dlala Thukzin, Oscar Mbo, DJ Lag partnering with Que DJ, Sun-El Musician, 2Shoes, Lelowhatsgood and Slow Poison. Additionally, the UMF Radio Stage presented by Confessions.za will perform, and debuts with Dean Fuel, CINIMIN, Chunda Munki, Vimo, Connie, Aidin Caye, Mia, Skelm, Jevan Binder and Threemanweave, adds the station.
