Firstwatch Whisky has announced that it has launched the 'Here's To Those' campaign, an initiative dedicated to celebrating and rewarding the tireless efforts of everyday heroes within our communities.
According to the whiskey brand, these are the individuals who quietly dedicate themselves to building better lives for their families and communities.
"As a brand deeply rooted in community, Firstwatch Whisky has a rich history of supporting, uplifting and celebrating individuals, and doing this through various impactful campaigns," the brand says.
A Legacy of Support and Recognition
According to the brand, Firstwatch Whisky has demonstrated its commitment to recognising and rewarding hardworking South Africans over the years.
Through initiatives like the Firstwatch Whisky Entrepreneur's Challenge, the brand has provided entrepreneurs with much-needed support, including hands-on experiential learning from the country's leading business experts, the brand adds.
At these workshops, entrepreneurs pitched their business ideas to a panel of judges, with the winner receiving cash and business support for their existing or start-up businesses. Previous winners continue to engage as brand ambassadors for Firstwatch Whisky, supporting new initiatives such as the 'Here's To Those' campaign, Firstwatch Whisky says.
Celebrating Everyday Heroes
According to the brand, the new initiative aims to honour those individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to improve their communities. Those who often go unrecognised will now have the chance to be celebrated and rewarded.
Prizes include the opportunity to win a home renovation worth R150 000, as well as a share of R250 000 worth of building materials from BuidIt, the brand adds.
Entry Mechanisms
Firstwatch Whisky says that to participate, individuals can nominate an unsung hero by tagging them in the comments on Firstwatch Whisky's social media pages and stating why they deserve a chance to win a home renovation worth R150 000.
"We all have that special person who always puts others first, expecting nothing in return. But even they deserve a reward for their quiet strength, which is why we are giving people the opportunity to reward their heroes for being community anchors," says Kelly Johnson, portfolio head at Edward Snell.
"This campaign is not a once-off project but part of our longstanding commitment to community and reward," adds Johnson.
The brand says that for those with hands that build quietly to make the world a better place, Firstwatch Whisky wants to reward them with a chance to win their share of R250 000 in building materials in the BuildIt trolley dash.
"Buy a bottle of FirstWatch Whisky from any TOPS at SPAR store, then dial 12020063# and follow the prompts using the unique code on your receipt to enter," concludes the brand.
